Sydney Linux Users Group (SLUG)

Want to make the most of your computer in a cost-efficient manner? Sick of feeling locked into vendors and file formats? Interested in Linux, free software and open source? Come to the SLUG Bootcamp!

We will be hosting a series of demonstrations and workshops on how to achieve a variety of tasks with Linux and FOSS. Topics will include co-existence with and migration from Windows, Web browsers, e-mail clients, office productivity and more. We will have experienced people on hand to answer your questions. If you choose to bring your laptop along, we might be able to assist with installing Linux on it alongside your existing Windows/Mac installation.

HP have sponsored us with rooms, computers and other facilities at their campus at Rhodes. Car parking is plentiful, and Rhodes railway station is only a short walk away.

The event will run from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 19 May.
